I did a fair amount of research on digital photo frames before purchasing the Smartparts SP72 7-Inch Digital Picture Wood Frame. I wanted something that was not overly expensive, yet provided good functionality and quality. Since Smartparts does not recommend the direct connect to the computer to download pictures, I used an SD 1 GB storage card to load up the pictures. It was pretty simple and did not take much time. We also used the timing feature to automatically shut down the picture frame in the late evening and it starts up in the morning.
So far we have been very happy with this product. The picture quality is very good and and the frame looks very nice as well. I would buy another one - and in fact we did - for my mother-in-law. We got the 8-inch version with more functionality and it has the same qualities as this unit. |
Bought 2 7" & 1 10.4" and am very pleased

Recently bought 3 SmartParts frames - 2 7" & 1 10.4". All delivered quickly by Amazon and in perfect working order. Loaded all 3 using both the application provided and also directly from the PC using the supplied USB cable. All performed flawlessly. Pictures are bright & colorful.
Using the USB is by far the easiest way to load the internal memory and gives you total control. Only feature I would like to see in future products is the ability to not display a certain folders pictures but allow them to be loaded.
Very pleased, well worth the money. Makes great gifts especially if you load some pictures for the person to enjoy. |
Excellent value for the price.

Pros: Great display quality, timed on and off settings, 128M of internal memory (was more than sufficient for my needs), fairly easy set-up, three picture transition speeds, mounting holes for wall mounting.
Cons: Wanted slower scroll of pics (I think slowest is about 8 seconds), no random shuffle option (scrolls in order they were put on the frame), description makes it sound like it takes multiple types of memory cards but only accepts SD. All things I probably could have discovered by reading product description or researched more thoroughly.
All in all I am very happy with this product for the price. |

| The box was in the original, unopened/brand new condition. I was very happy with my purchase and with the speedy service I received. Mom was very pleased with her Christmas present, although she still needs my helps. |

| This is our first digital picture frame, and we are very pleased with this product. Compared to others on the market, the picture could be a little more clear; however, for the price we believe it is a GREAT value. We are very much enjoying the slide show of our family's life over the last couple of years (the internal memory holds a ton of pictures). Others on the market at a higher price point offer a hand held remote. Although this would be a nice feature to have, we don't find it to be necessary. |
