How to fit pictures into a 16:9 digital frame?

I have a 16:9 digital picture frame and found that it I used 640x480 or any other regular resolution, my pictures are dispalyed with black bars on the sides. If I manually set the digital frame on 16:9 , it stretches everything and I don't need to be stretched! So, I purchased a Olympus FE-240 camera today, knowing that it has a 16:9 setting on it, thinking I would just be able to copy the pics and they would be full screen. Wrong. With the 16:9 pictures from the camera and the frame set on 16:9 I have a small rectangle picture in the center of the frame with the black bar on every side! Help! I hate to bring the camera back but if it don't do what I need it to do, give me full screen pics on the digital frame, then I don't need it. Any suggestions?

Simple solution. Take the photos you want to use and crop them in any photo software you may have. Save each change under a new name so your original image is safe.
Some programs will either have a 16:9 ratio choice in Cropping or will let you create a custom one.
